Tim Ruttan, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics and a courtesy assistant professor in the Department of Population Health. He has been a faculty member since 2017.
Ruttan’s academic interests are medical education, curriculum development, pediatric preparedness, health care policy, health care disparities and pediatrics in the general education setting.
Although not originally from Texas, he and his wife met while teaching in a small town in South Texas and have spent most of their time since then in and out of the state. He enjoys exploring the diverse food, music and cultures of Central Texas with his family. They spend as much time outdoors as possible both in Texas and beyond and enjoy exposing their young children to new places both in and outside the United States.
